No Need For Friends In Washington

Cruz not looking for friends

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas isn’t real popular in Washington currently, that doesn’t seem to bother him one bit. He stated that his goal in coming to Washington wasn’t to make friends and thankfully he’s not making many. His stance on tying obamacare defunding to the budget of the government didn’t sit well with the Democrats and many Republicans.

Cruz believes the defunding could have worked, if the Republicans really fought but in the end they never even tried. Those who support the President and those Republicans who are more interested in the polls than doing what was right won the day. The people who lost was the American taxpayer, not everyone like they claim, just those who actually pay.

I supported Cruz’s efforts, I will support anyone trying to get rid of obamacare anyway possible. I suspected from the very beginning that the core Republicans would never support such an idea and they didn’t. Cruz didn’t come to Washington to make friends, he’s succeeded in that but is creating many people who support him outside of the GOP establishment.

The cowards of the main stream GOP went on television and attacked anybody supporting this strategy. How bad obamacare will be is unknown, not off to a great start with the exchanges or the continuous blow-back from the cost. Cruz along with a few others in the Senate and some in the house did what they could to stop this law.

They have no way to negotiate with Obama about this law, the really bad parts are things he supports. The mandate, lower full-time employment hours, business mandate, all plans to include things people many not even need. Those parts which are going to effect more people than the 30 million that didn’t have health insurance.

There is no week nor day nor hour when tyranny may not enter upon this country, if the people lose their roughness and spirit of defiance.                                                                                                                                                                                                      Walt Whitman

  1. I’ve heard several people say we need to pick battles we can win as Republicans. If the founding fathers followed that cowardly pattern we would still be under the tyranny that led to the revolution. Too many Republicans and Independents can’t see how they have been mentally emasculated by following polls and the Media. Stop whining and put your big boy pants on! Lock and load before you become like the other “girly men.” Did Harry Reid surrender???? (And he has no scruples or conscience)
